An in-person consultation is required at least 48 hours before any piercing work will be carried out on clients under the age of 13.
Consultations give us the opportunity to discuss how the client feels about the process, they can watch a demonstration on how a piercing is done, and they get an informal introduction to myself and the studio setting.
I’ve found that children who have a consultation are far less likely to become overwhelmed and upset on the day of their piercing. -
If both parent and young person feel comfortable and wish to go ahead with getting pierced, you can make a booking in person before leaving the studio, or via the booking page linked to this website.
Please read over the relevant I.D policies before confirming your appointment. Your piercing fee will be retained if you do not provide the correct I.D at the time of your appointment. -
All clients are given an aftercare bag at the end of their appointment this includes a leaflet with relevant information to your piercing. You will also be given a verbal run-through of aftercare before leaving the studio.
Piercings will not be healed in 6 weeks.
No swimming in pools, the sea, hot tubs or any shared bodies of water for 6 weeks after getting a piercing.
Do not remove the jewellery at all until the piercing is fully healed, this can take between 6 months - 1 year.
Do not twist, turn or rotate the jewellery
Only use the aftercare provided, this allows us to monitor the healing process easier.
If you have any issues please consult the aftercare leaflet or contact your piercer as soon as issues arise.
On this page you’ll find all relevant information needed to make an appointment for a young person. Please read over every section as we have strict booking policies regarding age limits, parental consent and consultations.

The person accompanying any clients under the age of 16 has to be one of their birth parents, or a legally appointed guardian.
We need this person to be physically in the studio, with relevant I.D and able to sign the consent form. For people who have mobility issues, or are wheelchair users, we have a ramp at the back of the studio.
This is the law in Scotland and part of the licensing legislation for skin tattooing and body piercing, and exceptions will not be made.
We can not accept parental consent from;Grandparents
Aunties / Uncles
Neighbors / close family friends
Older siblings
People over the age of 18 accompanying a minor
Phonecalls / texts / e-mails signed letters from parents
Exceptions for people who aren’t under the care of their birth parents.
• If a client under the age of 16 has been adopted or is part of a foster family, a letter of proof of guardianship is required along with photo I.D for the guardian and client.
This can be in the form of a certificate of adoption, or a letter from a sector of social work / court showing the person accompanying the minor is their legally appointed guardian.
• Typically we do not accept parental consent from grandparents, the exception to this would be if a client under the age of 16 is legally living under the care of their grandparent. Photo I.D is still required for the carer & client, and a letter showing proof of their guardianship.
If you have any questions about this subject, or relative information to help us make this easier for clients, please e making an appointment.

We have a range of synthetic opal attachments, cubic zirconia gemstones, and titanium shapes that are suitable for initial piercing.
Stock varies on a weekly basis, so it’s preferred that clients choose jewellery on the day of their booking from what is currently available in store.
All the posts used for piercing are made from implant grade titanium. It’s safe for all skin types, and won’t cause any allergic responses. This grade of titanium is typically used in joint replacement surgeries so it’s safe for long term wear. -
Our pricing system is separated into piercing fees, and jewellery sales.
The piercing fee covers your time in the studio, staff wages, studio overheads, cost of equipment, aftercare and a second set of posts for downsizing the jewellery a few weeks after getting pierced.
The fee for one piercing is £25, or £35 for up to 4 piercings.
Jewellery is priced separately to the piercing fee as we have a wide range of options available in-store.
Titanium beads - £12.40 each / £24.80 for a pair
Titanium shapes - £24.80 each £49.60 for a pair
Bezel set opals - £26.50 each / £53 for a pair
Prong set gemstones - £27.50 each / £55 for a pair
The average price for two earlobe piercings is £70 - £90 all together. -
It’s recommended that all clients come back 3 - 4 weeks after getting pierced for a check-up.
Longer posts are used initially to accommodate with swelling. After a few weeks once the swelling has subsided, the longer posts can pose a risk for irritating the piercing as they can get snagged easily on hair or clothing.
During the check up we can downsize the jewellery used for initial piercing. The attachment will stay the same. but a new shorter post will be installed and you get to keep the longer posts as a back-up set.
The cost of a check-up is £5, which covers your time in the studio.
What happens if we don’t do any piercings?
There is no pressure and no expectations from any client of any age. Clients are free to say ‘no’, ‘stop’ and retract consent at any stage of the piercing process.
The only time a ‘no’ will be ignored, is if the needle has already broken the skin. For health and safety reasons, I can’t leave a sharp in a client and will have to finish the procedure. However, preforming a piercing and installing jewellery takes less than 13 seconds. (yes, we timed it!)
I will not accept, nor encourage negative coercion from parents or people accompanying piercee’s.
I’ll check in with clients all through the piercing process, and we’ll have a discussion about the meaning of consent during a consultation. If a client becomes overwhelmed, withdraws consent or I feel like it’s unsafe to continue with the procedure then we can reschedule for a later date at no additional cost.
You’ll only be charged for the equipment and jewellery used at the time, unless previously agreed upon before the procedure begins.
Free piercing for teddies!
Clients of all ages are encouraged to bring along an emotional support toy if they feel that it will help them overcome the of getting pierced.
Emotional support teddies are welcome to get up to two piercings free of charge so that they can look as cool as their owner.
The jewellery used for emotional support teddies is machine washable, and securely attached, so it should be durable enough for their next adventure.
We’ve had the joy of piercing Stitch, Angel, many Labubu’s, a capybara, a monkey, and even a few octopus!
