Insertion pin
Insertion pins (also known as tapers) are a very handy tool for clients looking to change or re-fit jewellery in their piercings. These pins have a threaded or thredless attachment on one end which a piece of jewellery can be attached to, then the smaller end of the pin can then be inserted into the piercing channel.
The pin should be able to comfortably slide through the piercing channel without causing too much discomfort to the wearer – with the end result being that the jewellery fitted on to the end is now resting inside a piercing channel.
Insertion pins are made from stainless steel, and are designed to be used as a tool. These should not be worn as jewellery.

The internally threaded guide pin is tapered, allowing for easy insertion into a piercing channel. . One side has a thread which screws into an internally threaded post, and the opposite side is smaller with a rounded end
These are made from steel which is a soft material, allowing you to bend the tip if necessary to accommodate fitting the pin into smaller areas of the body without causing discomfort. Each taper comes with 2 single 5ml sachets of lubricant to that can be used to make jewellery transfers as easy as possible.
